This year’s Rogue Valley Family Fun Fest will be in an adjusted format (for this year only!) to ensure that families and volunteers are all able to stay safe. On Thursday August 20th, we will be set up at local high schools to distribute backpacks full of school supplies to families.
Families in need of backpacks and school supplies can come to the local high school in their area (list of high schools) on Thursday August 20th from 5 - 6:30 pm. Backpacks will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Families/parents who come will receive a backpack full of school supplies, a voucher for a free well-child exam from Rogue Community Health, and information on the following day’s virtual event. There’s no pre-registration, just show up on the day of the event!
On Friday August 21st, the day after the backpack distribution, we will be hosting a virtual celebration! The local resource organizations who normally attend our event will be posting fun, interactive activities in which students can participate! Most of the activities will involve a submission component (for example, take a picture of the student’s drawing, film the student performing the dance, etc.). Submit your students’ submissions by emailing us at rvfamilyfunfest@gmail.com, or post to social media and tag @rvfamilyfunfest. Every submission equals one entry in our raffle! Our raffle prizes this year include gift cards and day passes to local attractions and vouchers for free haircuts.
