Resource Organizations
Every year these community resource organizations come to the Family Fun Fest event to connect with families and join in the celebration!
These organizations include ACCESS, the Ashland Community Resource Center, AllCare Health, Ashland First United Methodist Church, Community Works, Goodwill Job Connection, Jackson Care Connect, Jackson County Fuel Committee, Jackson Country Library Services, Jackson County Sexual Assault Response Team, La Clinica, Maslow Project, Oregon Child Development Coalition, and Rogue Community Health.
ACCESS
ACCESS is a private non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.
We are the Community Action Agency of Jackson County. We have been
serving the needs of seniors, persons with disabilities, children and
people of low income since 1976.
ACCESS has been helping Jackson County residents achieve economic stability since 1976. With a focus on education, we help low-income families and seniors through economic crisis by guiding them through changes in the habits that help them become self-sustaining. ACCESS currently serves Jackson County residents through 15 programs designed to address issues from one-time emergencies to longer-term issues.

Ashland Emergency Food Bank
The Ashland Emergency Food Bank and local faith groups, in alliance with the community at large, provide emergency food supplies, without charge, to individuals and families in the Ashland/Talent area who would otherwise go hungry. We also endeavor to increase awareness about the problem of hunger in our communities.
Ashland First United Methodist Church
We are an Inclusive Christian family of faith, sharing the grace and love of God with ALL people.
We commit our hands and hearts to actively connect to God and transform our community and the world by welcoming all to share in meaningful worship, educational experiences and outreach.
Community Works
Community Works strengthens lives and our community through prevention, support services, and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homeless youth and their families.
Founded in 1996, Community Works is the only domestic and sexual violence resource center serving Jackson County, Oregon. Community Works was created as a merger between three community organizations that had been providing crisis intervention in Southern Oregon since the mid-1970s. As a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, Community Works is funded by government and private grants, the United Way, and the generosity of our community. All of our services are free and confidential.
Goodwill Job Connection
The Goodwill Job Connection is a community resource center connecting job seekers with local employers. If you are unemployed, underemployed, changing careers, or new to the community, the Job Connection is your first step towards a new job. Job Connections is a free job search and referral program designed to help you find a job that fits your needs and abilities.
Our one-on-one personalized service is designed to address your individual employment needs during your job search, effective resume and interview skills coaching, and referrals to local employers based on your employment goals, experience, and skills.
Jackson Care Connect
Jackson Care Connect is a Coordinated Care Organization (CCO). We coordinate physical, behavioral and oral health care for Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) members in Jackson County. We care for the whole person, making it easy to connect to provider groups, hospitals, agencies and community organizations who work together with you.
Jackson Care Connect is the only nonprofit CCO in Jackson County, and we are dedicated to our mission of empowering people and systems to improve the health of our community. We place our members at the center of our business decisions and support partners that serve our members. We work with other community organizations to enhance innovative projects that promote a healthy Jackson County.
We’re here to help our members and our community prevent illness and respond effectively to health issues, while decreasing public costs. To do that, we help our members achieve and maintain the healthiest lives possible.
Jackson County Fuel Committee
Jackson County Fuel Committee (JCFC) is a free and voluntary association
comprised of forestry, timer and mill workers, low-income seasonal
workers, students, teachers, clergy, and other concerned community
residents. We are dedicated to address the disparity between the lack
of access to heating fuel for thousands of low-income workers and their
families, and the abundance of heating resources in the area.
Volunteers joined together to form an organization specifically
designed to attack the economic root of the problem and government
policies that promote profits over people, while immediately providing
critically needed resources.
Participation in JCFC is open to
anyone who desires to see a deprived segment of the population gain
access to heating resources, and work succinctly toward those ends. JCFC
volunteers give of their time, skills and resources to help fight for
improved living conditions in our lowest-income communities. By
necessity, this began with and continues to this day to include
fundamental survival needs such as emergency firewood, utility
advocacy to prevent shut-offs, and weatherization to cut heating costs.
Jackson County Library Services
Jackson County Library Services (JCLS) serves the 212,000 residents of Jackson County with 15 branch libraries. The mission of the Jackson County Library District is to connect everyone to information, ideas, and each other. We provide a wide range of children’s, teen, and adult physical and electronic resources and collections as well as outreach services, including booktalks for elementary and middle school students, services for homebound patrons, and outreach to childcare centers. Our ever-changing calendar of programs and events is diverse, including musical performances, lectures, art exhibits, classes, book groups, storytimes, and more.
Jackson County Sexual Assault Response Team
Jackson County SART works to ensure an effective, collaborative response to sexual assault that prioritizes victims’ needs and reduces the traumatic after-effects of this crime; to help bring more offenders to justice; and to prevent sexual violence through community engagement and change.
La Clinica
Since 1989 we have strived to improve the quality of life for the diverse communities we serve by providing culturally appropriate, accessible, and affordable quality health care.
Today, La Clinica offers high quality, prevention-focused services through seven neighborhood health centers, 13 school-based clinics, and a mobile health center. Our outreach programs provide a safety net for our most remote and vulnerable community members, and to help our community access care, we accept all insurance types and offer a sliding scale for low-income uninsured and underinsured patients.
Maslow Project
We empower homeless youth to thrive independently through supports that stabilize and engage in all aspects of life.
Our vision is for every child to have a voice and a choice to shape their dreams. Our program model is intentionally low barrier and easy access. We do our best to provide the help people ask for, in the way that best works for them. Our outreach workers, advocates and case managers help people individually connect with the services and programs that best meet their needs and goals, and we stay with them along the way, lending encouragement and support.
Oregon Child Development Coalition
Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families by providing early childhood education, care and advocacy with unique and supportive services to enhance family growth and community success.
We believe that every single child should be cared for, educated and loved. We prepare young children for success in school, which prepares them for success in life. We also support parents to help families learn and grow together, and we help families engage with their community.
Rogue Community Health
Operating as a non-profit organization for over 45 years, we are committed to making sure everyone in our community receives the best possible healthcare, no matter their insurance or financial status. With outstanding providers and convenient state-of-the-art health centers, we address each patient’s path to wellness; it’s the Rogue Way to Health.
We welcome everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Being healthy isn’t just about the absence of illness, it’s about the presence of wellness, so we offer extensive resources and use the best possible clinical protocols to help all of our clients on the road to self-sufficiency.
Our services include medical and preventative care, routine wellness check-ups, chronic illness issues, as well as behavioral health and dental care. We collaborate with other organizations, like our partners in the Rogue Challenge, to assist our patients in accessing the variety of services available, promoting self-sufficiency as a key to well-being.
United Way of Jackson County
At its core, United Way of Jackson County believes people are connected and interdependent. When we reach out a hand to one, we influence the condition of all. We all win when children form healthy attachments through a loving family, when they succeed in school, graduate and make successful transitions to adult responsibilities. We all win when families are financially stable, when people have good health, and when people are engaged and connected. We all win when people have transportation to pursue education, access medical services and work. Through our role as convener, facilitator and advocate, our goal is to create long-lasting change by addressing the underlying causes of problems. This belief forms the foundation for our strategies for education, income, health and transportation.
United Way brings people together to learn, engage and create change on the issues facing our community. We help eliminate barriers that improve all our lives by focusing on the building blocks of a good life – education, income, health and transportation.
